Debbie Tate
was born in Illinois, raised in Colorado, New Mexico and Missouri. She graduated in 1982 from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver. Upon graduation Debbie worked in a small animal private practice in Colorado for 3 ½ years. Missing the Midwest she and her husband returned to mid-Missouri where Debbie managed the Central Missouri Humane Society for 3 ½ years before joining the UMC VMTH small animal medicine department. She has worked in small animal medicine, oncology and anesthesia in her 18 + years with Mizzou. Debbie rejoined the oncology group in August 2008 as their clinical trials coordinator. Time away from work is spent raising cattle and showing and breeding world class quarter horses.
