Dr. Kim Selting
grew up in Colorado where she attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins for her undergraduate studies. After a year abroad, Dr. Selting returned to Colorado State to enter the professional veterinary medicine program and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994. She spent a year in New York City at the Animal Medical Center, completing a rotation internship in small animal medicine and surgery, before moving to St. Louis, Missouri, to work in private practice and to be near family. After 4 years of private practice, including emergency work, Dr. Selting returned once again to Colorado State University to complete a residency in medical oncology from 1999-2002.

About UMC
Dr. Selting achieved board certification in the specialty of oncology at the completion of her residency. She then returned to the Midwest, joining the faculty at the University of Missouri-Columbia Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital as Assistant Professor of Oncology. Her professional interests include studying the toxicity of certain drugs to the heart and novel treatments for solid tumors.
