Faculty

Dr. Carolyn Henry
is an Associate Professor of Oncology with dual appointments at the College of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri. She received a BS degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a DVM from Auburn University. She practiced small animal and emergency medicine in Alabama and Georgia before returning to Auburn University to complete an Oncology Residency and MS degree program. Board certified since 1994, Dr. Henry served on the faculty at Washington State University from 1993 to 1997 and has since been at the University of Missouri. She is the Director of the Scott Endowed Program in Veterinary Oncology and is the President of the Veterinary Cancer Society.

She has authored or co-authored over 50 publications and 8 book chapters and is primary investigator on numerous grants relating to early detection and novel therapy of cancer. Her specific research interests relate to canine bladder cancer, mammary cancer, osteosarcoma, and comparative oncology/cancer epidemiology.
