Dr. Sandra Axiak
Dr. Sandra Axiak earned two associates degrees at Henry Ford Community College before completing a bachelor’s degree program in animal science at Michigan State University. She remained at Michigan State and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed an internship at Mississippi State University, followed by a residency in Medical Oncology at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston and Veterinary Specialists of North Texas in Dallas. Diplomate status through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, specialty of Oncology, was attained in July of 2008. She remained at Veterinary Specialists of North Texas through February of 2009 prior to joining the MU College of Veterinary Medicine as an assistant teaching professor in oncology.
