With
growth in its teaching, clinical, and research missions, certain programs
of the MU College of Veterinary Medicine have been straining at the seams.
No part has been more in need of renovation than the college’s 1970’s-vintage
library, administrative area, and main entrance. The entrance was once
the college’s back door when the pre-Clydesdale Hall clinic entrance
was on the north side of the building. Over the past two years, the college has been studying potential renovations to the Veterinary Medicine Building to make its facilities more functional. In particular, this would involve renovation of the library and administrative complex, and expansion of classrooms. At the same time, ways have been explored to create more of a campus effect, tying the Veterinary Medicine Building together with Clydesdale Hall. |
