The
College is committed to raising private funds to help
alleviate the substantial financial burden that accompanies
a veterinary medical education. Our goal is to decrease
the amount of new graduates' disposable income which
must go toward debt repayment.
The benefits to be derived from
this goal include: 1) increasing new graduates'
quality of life, 2) allowing graduates to pursue career
options, such as positions in academia, research, or
large-animal medicine, that might not necessarily result
in the greatest income, 3) allowing graduates to accept
positions in underserved or rural areas of Missouri,
and 4) increasing the possibility that more new graduates
are eventually able to buy a practice.
The minimum to establish a student scholarship endowment is $10,000. This fund can be named and the financial commitment can be fulfilled over a number of years in a payment plan which can be tailored to the donors needs.
