Required Courses Deadline
The minimum required courses must be completed
by the end of the winter semester (spring quarter) of the
year for which admission is sought. Very few students are
accepted with only minimum requirements. Grades for required
courses must be received by MU College of Veterinary Medicine,
Office of Academic Affairs, by July 1st.

Application materials are available on-line
after July 1.
The University of Missouri does not accept
Missouri resident applications through the Veterinary Medical
Colleges Application Service (VMCAS). Our Direct application
is found at www.cvm.missouri.edu.
Non-Missouri residents may apply by completing a Direct application
OR by submitting the VMCAS application and our Supplemental
application from above web site. Deadline for Direct and Supplemental
application, November 1.
Requirements for Application
Applicants should provide one official
transcripts from each college or university attended to the
University of MO College of Veterinary Medicine on or prior
to November 1, 2007. A second official transcript
that includes all fall semester/quarter course grades must
be received on or before February 1, 2008.
Transcripts must be official and issued by the institution
where courses were taken. However, they do not have to be
mailed directly from the Registrar's Office.

A minimum combined score of 640 must be
obtained on the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE,
and a minimum of 1.5 on the analytical portion. If the MCAT
is taken, a score of 15 or greater must be obtained. Invitation
for personal interviews are extended to qualified applicants.
Letters of Recommendation
Recommendations should be from persons
other than family members who personally know the applicant
well as a student or employee. Letter of recommendation from
influential citizens carry no more importance than letters
from other individuals. Applicants submitting the Direct Application
are allowed to list up to four evaluations. At least three
evaluations must be returned to the MU College of Veterinary
Medicine before Feb. 1. At least one evaluator must be a veterinarian.
Additional letters are not forwarded to the Admissions Committee.
