Minutes of Student Leaders Meeting
April 5, 2006

Dean’s Conference Room

Present: Cott, Dodam, Hobbs, Bonnette, Borzillo, Cravens, Bone, Miller

1. Class Notes. Dr. Cott announced that MVES would no longer be handling notes for the professional curriculum. Various options were discussed including:

a.      Utilizing the University Bookstore
b.      Posting all notes via the CVM IT group to a web page.

i.      Students could choose to whether or not to utilize the class notes. Students may download them, or download and print them.
ii.     Students may choose to use a university printing resource, or may go to a commercial copier/printer (i.e., ‘Kinkos’).
iii.    A deadline for note submission will still be given to faculty.

c.      Student leaders were not opposed to a change in handling class notes. The CVM will adopt policy 1b. above.

2. Parking issues

a.      CVM students received a notice for next year’s parking permits.

3. Mailboxes

a.      Dr. Cott expressed his desire to install locking mailboxes to prevent unauthorized people from accessing mailboxes.

4. SCAVMA

a.      Club constitutions were due April 3, 2006

a.      Family Day/Gentle Doctor Benefit-April 8, 2006
b.      Open House-April 22, 2006
c.      Graduation-May 12, 2006
